7TH FSSCO CONVENOR'S MESSAGE
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 7th Foundation Surgical Skills Course in Otolaryngology (FSSCO). It will be held at the Surgical Skills Training Laboratory at Changi General Hospital from 15th to 24th February 2017.
This course was conceptualized with the objective to provide a strong basic foundation in practical anatomy and surgical skills for the budding Otolaryngologist. It has been well received, and many local and overseas participants have benefited from it.
Due to positive feedback from previous FSSCOs, we have decided to extend the course to 10 days. There will be 2 days of Rhinology, 2 days of Facial Plastic, 2 days of Head & Neck Surgery, 1 day of Laryngology, and 3 days of Otology. The teaching faculty will consist of experienced subspecialists within the respective field from all over Singapore who have undergone fellowship training at various world-renowned centres.
The program is designed to have short lectures to highlight pertinent pointers in surgical dissection and to leave participants with ample cadaveric dissection time. We have also ensured a high instructor to participant ratio to allow close supervision and interaction during the cadaveric dissection. Hence it will benefit participants from different levels of surgical background.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our industry partners for the logistic support and our sponsors for allowing us to keep the course fee affordable.
I strongly encourage you to sign up for the course early and I look forward to welcoming you in February 2017.
Yours Sincerely,
